The Tower Run

Your tower run challenge will take you up an incredible 1,092 steps over 42 floors. Find out more below about what to expect from your tower run experience.

HOW WILL I START MY TOWER RUN?

You will be allocated a start wave for your tower run and the start wave times will be emailed to you at the beginning of August if you completed the event registration form before 24th July. If you completed your event registration after 23rd July your start wave will be emailed to you at the end of August.

Your start wave will be 15 minutes long and you will be directed when to start during this time.

Everyone will start the tower run individually, with participants being set off about every 30 seconds from the start line.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE TOWER RUN?

On average it will take between 20-30 minutes to finish the tower run. But everyone is different and you can you take the climb at your own pace. However, we do ask for you to complete the tower run with 1 hour.

Although it’s called a tower run, our stair climbing expert advises not to run up the stairs. Instead take a swift two step walk up the stairs. This way you’ll be able to maintain your pace!

WILL I KNOW MY TOWER RUN TIME?

The tower run will be chip timed and the timing chip will be in your event bib, which we will send to you a few weeks before the event.

We will provide your tower run time on event day, so you’ll know very soon how you’ve done.

CAN I ADD MY TIME TO MY MEDAL?

Make your event day extra special by personalising your medal with an iTAB.

Engraved with your name and finish time, iTAB’s custom medal insert fits neatly into your Skyscraper Challenge medal.

To purchase an iTAB for your medal, you need to access your event dashboard. You can find a link to your dashboard in your event confirmation email from [email protected].
